Miami Beach
Back to all Neighborhoods

Neighborhood Description

Miami Beach, home to the largest collection of Art Deco buildings in the world, is rich in history, architecture, hospitality & spas, and fine dining experiences. Miami Beach sets the standard for luxurious residential and hotel amenities and is home to some of the best nightlife in the world. South Beach boasts the iconic Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road as major attractions for shopping and outdoor dining, as well as Lummus Park, which features a beach boardwalk that visitors and locals use to ride bicycles, walk, or rollerblade on. The South Beach Art Deco District is a vibrant, enchanting collection of more than 800 architecturally protected buildings in Miami Beach from the 1930s and 1940s, made famous by Miami Vice and Scarface. The northern stretch of Miami Beach, North Beach, offers more serenity than South Beach with less of a cosmopolitan, nightlife-oriented appeal. The much-buzzed-about Faena District, which received official designation as a Miami Beach district in late 2014, is a 10-minute walk north of South Beach and is the centerpiece of Mid-Beach’s emerging status as a hot spot in Miami, stretching four blocks from 32nd to 36th street. Three residential buildings, the Faena hotel, Faena house, a cultural center, and a retail complex make up the ornate, ultra-trendy arts, residential & entertainment development, headed by Argentine developer Alan Faena. Miami Beach is also home to a variety of arts & culture institutions and events including Art Basel Miami Beach, New World Symphony, Miami City Ballet, Bass Museum of Art, Miami Beach Polo World Cup, and South Beach Food & Wine Festival. The ultimate place to see-and-be-seen, Miami Beach exudes opulence with a global, international vibe. The city appeals to those looking for a never-ending itinerary of things to do in a captivating location with some of the most pristine beaches in the world.
